Oh...OH. Yeah, it has a lack of...well, it just doesn't feel the same, I guess. There are no real puzzles or things to test you in the new one, is that what you mean? I like the look of the character, but the game is a bit simple.
Yes, that's what I mean. Just shoot and press QTE, on a boring island with littered "tombs". There was nothing truly tomb-ish. No challenge, no adrenaline, no fun, no story, no mystery. All is bleak and weak and boring.
Well there aren't supposed to be actual tombs, the story line is completely different from that. It's about how she BECAME Lara Croft, that girl who raids tombs and kicks ass as a badass archaeologist. It's not really a basic shooter game. Yes, at some points the game lets you shoot in 'first person,' but that's not the whole concept of the game. In Tomb Raider Chronicles/TR5, there is one level where you have to do the same thing, no? I wouldn't call that a shooter.
That's how games have become...I really...REALLY hate to say that, but that's how it is. Have you ever played the original Half-Life? Now THAT'S what a shooter SHOULD be like. It's long, detailed, and full of plenty of great story moments and things that test your mind. I can understand why it won game of the decade.
Awesome...finally, someone else who actually remembers GOOD games. Have you heard of Hlf-Life: Black Mesa? It's the first Half-Life redone with graphics that surpass Half-Life 2 by far. You should check it out if you're still interested in H-L. It's the same game, just updated.
